Invited are all institute staff, their partners from industry as well as students who would like to inform themselves about the possibilities of working at institutes and industrial companies in the form of internships, bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses and about starting a career.
On the day of the event, the institutes of the faculty will introduce themselves at a fair and present current research projects. A series of lectures of 30 minutes each will provide a comprehensive insight into the professional field and the job profile of mechanical engineers. The speakers include KIT graduates with different lengths of professional experience. Their professional career led them either directly after their studies or only after their doctorate to a company in the free economy. KIT Mechanical Engineering Day also integrates the Department Festival Colloquium. Department awards and honors are presented there. The keynote lecture is also the highlight of the lecture series.
For students
Visit the lecture forum and find out about the job description of a mechanical engineer. In the info events, you will receive valuable information on how to orient your studies internationally. In its event, the student council will present the topic of choosing a major by students for students. The Institute Fair is aimed in particular at students at the end of the Bachelor's program who would like to find out about specializations and concentrations in the Master's program. Booths with information about specializations in the Master's program are marked.
For companies
As an industrial and research company, you can get involved with Mechanical Engineering Day.
At the institute fair: Together and in agreement with one of our department institutes, you present a current, joint research project at the institute booth.
Within the lecture series: A KIT mechanical engineering graduate of your company gives a 30-minute lecture on the cooperation project.
